Vacation Photography, Part 4. {Finale!}

Here we are!

For the final post in this short series. This might end up being the longest…but I don’t know for sure. We were visiting some friends…this post has water, miniature ponies,Β azaleas, and swinging. Plus some more randomness.

At this moment I am digging texture photos…remember the brick? πŸ˜€

My bother got all wet in the creek and then wanted a photo with this miniature horse. My brother isn’t very tall, btw. πŸ˜€
IMG_8075.jpg
Aren’t they cute?

I love this vertical shot!

This cracks me up! A nice size comparison. πŸ˜‰

Oh, and I forgot to mention the ducks!
IMG_8114.jpg
And they were all happy…until my brother chased them. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€

Bro and sis on the swing. BTW, they aren’t concerned. They were laughing right after this shot was taken.Β

I got mom to pose for a picture. Happy Mother’s Day, btw. My only regret is the cup she’s holding. I was so eager, I overlooked it πŸ˜‰ . I do like the diverse background though.Β

Going home I shot pictures from the windows.

That’s a wrap, folks.

I hope you enjoyed this little four-part series. I could have added tons more than I did…but my memory is really getting small now.

Vacation Photography, Part 3.

On this day…we celebrated my birthday (way) early.

Here’s Ellie with the delicious cake. πŸ™‚

Here’s part of grandma’s rose garden. I love it all, except that unit. πŸ˜€

Josiah and I went fishing in the freezing rain. It was literally FREEZING.Β

The lake.Β
IMG_7929.jpg
And some drama. (most of this lighting was done on camera. I did some super contrast in the landscape picture style on manual mode)
IMG_7959.jpg
We decided to throw rocks and logs into the water.Β

And the last photo.Β

Guess what? I am doing my first actual senior shoot sometime soon. I will be attempting to do a dear friend’s photos for her (she follows this blog). I don’t know if I’ll be posting any of them or not. I hope so…but if nothing else—good practice πŸ˜€ .

We will gallivant all over creation. And have a lot of fun. πŸ˜‰

Tune in to Part Four soon! It’s the ‘finale’ (but don’t expect TOO much, people!) so that will be it.

Aliquotiens Adventure #3.

Sometimes the ‘adventure’ is right on your property.

Sometimes you’ll have to walk a ways.

Sometimes you won’t have to.

Today was one of those ‘won’t have to’ days. There was a lovely puddle, and the green grass was wet and crisp- instead of soggy. πŸ˜€ And I was barefoot. Now, I wasn’t born a country-girl. But maybe we can say I’m adopted? The city isn’t for me.

And that cardinal inside it’s complementary color!
IMG_7293.jpg
I love this one!
IMG_7298.jpg
And the hydrangea plant I keep on taking pictures of.
IMG_7311.jpg
And some underexposed daffodils. It WAS raining.Β
IMG_7313.jpg
Raindrops! Well not drops exactly…

IMG_7247.jpg

p.s. I try not to use my big zoom lens (300mm) too often because the pictures seem to be less high quality than when I use my 50mm. But all of these were 300mm except the water drops. Wouldn’t want to disturb God’s creation! πŸ˜›

This was taken with my 50mm too. See the difference? This is unedited.Β

And here’s my lil sis with a toad…unedited.Β

Water Reflections

Β “On the still calm waters of surrender, the reflections of clarity appears.”
~ Bryant McGill

This post is entirely dedicated to reflections…specifically having to do with water. I will share my very favorite water reflections that I have taken so far.

NOTE: Many of the following pictures have been seen on this blog before. This is just a compilation!
